Earlier this year we were approached and invited to be part of the Christmas Market at Fenwicks in Newcastle. This was a new event they were running to support local small businesses. We were so excited and privileged to be asked and of course said yes, and booked in 3 days in November. Due to lockdown 2, our dates were rescheduled to December.
So on Friday 11 December, Shiromi packed up the car and left our house at 6.30am to head up to Newcastle! A couple of hours later and our stall was all set up in the lovely Christmas Department.
It was a very exciting couple of days and we met lots of lovely customers and other small business owners.
We never imagined we would one day see our artwork for sale in one of the biggest department stores in the North East. It just goes to show, when you follow your dreams and believe in yourself amazing things happen.
